Bobcat MaxControl

We worked with Bobcat to create a headlining video for a launch of their remote operation technology.

Objective

A world-wide company, headquartered in ND has been expanding their innovation on almost all of their equipment. This product was in the prototype stage but they needed a video to communicate the possibilities this technology could bring to the field.

Obstacles

Bobcat is always pushing the envelope of what is possible with their equipment. When you’re looking at launching a new product, you want to excite your audience and create a video that draws people in. It was a tall order, but one we knew we could deliver on.

Creative Process

Our vision was to tell the story by showing a young boy in the late 80s, playing a video game with a corded controller; transitioning to present day with the boy grown up and controlling a Bobcat skid-steer from his iPhone. We directed nostalgia and innovation at the target audience.

Problems we solved

This project had us flying out to Texas to capture outdoor footage in the middle of winter, as well as creating a stylized 80s living space for the video game scene. Later, we would film a dozen different application videos to represent how this technology might be used in the field.
